THE REEF

This initiative ongoing project focuses largely on the ocean's reefs and seeks to spread awareness of how quickly this unique ecosystem is deteriorating and how it will be completely lost by the year 2050.

My research focused on the inherent beauty of coral reefs and how pollution, overfishing, and climate change have led to most coral becoming bleached and even disintegrating.

My aims for this project is to spread the message that the ocean governs our world and that we must act now to prevent further damage before it is too late. I'll use vibrant colours that the reef previously had and combine them with the current hues we have, from the bleached white, to demonstrate my knowledge.

THE DEEP

The deep is a handmade wall pieces made with many techniques such as tufting, beading, felting, hand stitching.

SEAWEED CRAWL

Seaweed crawl is a hand made mixed media piece inspired by the seabed.

Seaweed crawl is made with seed beads, axminster wool, recycled cotton and merino wool which has been hand felted into balls.

Bleach tiles is a four pice hand tufted artwork made from axminster wool, sead beads and recycled cotton.
